Just recently, we have received an RFQ from one of our major customer to replace a 1×7 Lighted Indicator and Pushbutton-Switch-Matrix which currently uses single components.
The design is from the late 80’s and the customer wants to have that Matrix updated to the latest State Of The Art Technology while they are working on an overall upgrade for that particular armored vehicle program.
Together with our partner NEK, New England Keyboards INC, we will offering an alternative customized keypad solution, fully MIL-Qualified against the latest MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461, which will have the following benefits in comparison to the current version:
– major cost savings
– LED-Technology rather than incandescent lamps
– weight savings
– major panel depth reduction
– wiring-time savings as our unit will come prewired
– logistic benefits (1 P/N instead of 8 P/N’s)
