Will the Elephant leave the room for AUKUS countries?
Over the years, discussions on MIL-spec products manufactured in the US have been overshadowed by the elephant in the room: ITAR. While IPP’s portfolio doesn’t fall foul of ITAR, the possibility of our customers becoming entangled in its complex web has been a persistent concern.
Fortunately, the U.S. Department of State is taking progressive steps to address this issue by declassifying AUKUS countries from ITAR restrictions, effectively removing the elephant from the room!
This move paves the way for seamless and hassle-free export of U.S.-made components, signifying a promising future for our clients in the United Kingdom and Australia.
As IPP, we will keep a close eye on these developments!
